(SAN FRANCISCO) Three Black men, all in their 20s from Oakland, claim they were victims of racial profiling after allegedly being wrongfully detained at the Saks Fifth Avenue store in Union Square, KTVU reports.

The men were shopping in the store Wednesday. They said they were browsing the store for half an hour or less when armed police arrived and detained them for more than two hours.

A San Francisco Police Department spokesman said per KTVU that the officers "acted according to policy when responding to a report of a person brandishing a firearm."

The men, who were not found carrying any firearms, have hired attorney Adante Pointer and plan to file a lawsuit against the SFPD.
