（KCRA 3）ROCKLIN, Calif. — The Rocklin Unified School District is set to vote on a plan Tuesday to bring kids back to school in August.

District leaders are weighing two options that are favored by teachers and parents that would bring kids back to the classroom, at least part of the week.

The first option would be a traditional school week with all kids back in the classroom, with measures taken to physically distance kids and sanitize workspaces and equipment.

The second option offers a staggered school schedule where only half of the student population would be on the campus at any given time.

Students would go to school for three days and study at home the other two in the first week, and then home for three days and school for two days on the next week and repeat the cycle.

Regardless of which option is selected, the district still plans to provide an all-online, distance-learning option for families that may not feel comfortable returning to school.
