Law enforcement agencies across the country are on high alert as they prepare for more protests, including in the Sacramento area.
全国各地的执法机构都处于高度戒备状态，准备应对包括萨克拉门托地区在内的更多抗议活动。
Organized armed rallies are scheduled for the day leading up to the presidential inauguration on Jan. 20, according to a notice released by the FBI.

Sacramento police Chief Daniel Hahn said it’s all-hands-on-deck this week as the department prepares for potential protests downtown. Hahn said officers will be working 12-hour shifts.

“All agencies are very concerned,” Hahn said. “All agencies are even more concerned after what they saw in terms of capabilities and willingness to do violence and those sort of things in D.C.”

Hahn said the department is monitoring information about potential protests.

“It seems now, over the next week, it seems at least some people’s intentions are to turn it up several notches and make it more like D.C. was,” he said.

But this isn’t the department’s first time dealing with unrest in Sacramento.

“We’ve unfortunately got a lot of experience with these groups,” Hahn said.

Every weekend for the last few months, Hahn said two dueling groups have been fighting downtown.

He said they’re no longer peacefully protesting, instead turning to violence.

“These groups, like antifa and Proud Boys, that seems to be their only mission,” Hahn said. “Not only by what we see them do, but they brag about it on social media.”

Hahn said the department is collaborating with state and federal agencies, including the FBI.

He said dealing with these groups can be difficult and dangerous.

“These folks are dressed like they’re in the military or they’re SWAT officers,” Hahn said. “They’re wearing ballistics helmets, they’re wearing bulletproof vests. They’re carrying swords, sticks, rocks, canned foods and they’re using all this equipment against each other and against the officers.”

Hahn said nearly all agencies are having conversations daily to coordinate plans to keep the city and Capitol safe.

CHP Commissioner Amanda Ray, Cal OES Director and Homeland Security Advisor Mark Ghilarducci and California National Guard Adjutant General David Baldwin also sent a statement to KCRA 3 regarding the potential downtown protests. It reads:
