99号公路发生多车相撞事故，CHP警官和一名司机受伤！
A California Highway Patrol officer and another driver were injured after a crash Monday on Highway 99 south of Stockton, officials said.

The officer was behind a guard rail on northbound Hwy 99 just south of Arch Road using a radar to check for speeders around 12:15 p.m. when two cars hit their brakes quickly, the CHP Stockton division said. One of the vehicles, a Toyota Highlander, overturned and hit the officer.

The officer was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries, but he is expected to survive, CHP said. The driver of the Toyota also has moderate injuries.

The No. 3 lane on northbound 99 near Arch Road is closed while crews clean up the wreck. Traffic backup can be seen as far back as French Camp Road on Hwy. 99.

It is unknown why the two vehicles braked suddenly. The CHP said speeding is a common complaint in the area where the crash happened.
