A 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the shooting death of another teenager, Sacramento police said Thursday.
萨克拉门托警方周四表示，一名男孩因涉嫌枪杀另一名17岁少年而被捕。
The suspect is accused of killing 17-year-old Jaylen Betschart, who died Saturday afternoon.
这名嫌疑人被指控杀害了17岁的Jaylen Betschart，后者于周六下午死亡。
Around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 8300 block of Jackson Road to investigate a crash, police said. When officers arrived, they found Betschart unresponsive and with at least one gunshot wound.

Betschart was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Detectives have been working diligently to solve this homicide and continue to investigate this shooting,” police said in a tweet Thursday.

Police did not release any details about the arrest.

Betschart is mourned by the community. He was a senior at Sacramento High School, where he played basketball and baseball.

Friends and community remembered Betschart as kind and friendly.
