(KCRA3)Police are investigating after a 95-year-old man and his 90-year-old wife were found dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Stockton.

Officers responded to a home on the 1900 block of Myrtle Street around 7:17 p.m. after reports of two people who were dead inside the house, Stockton police said.

The Stockton Police Department said it appeared that the husband shot and killed his wife before he died by suicide.

A firearm was recovered at the home, police said.
