Davis police said Saturday they are investigating an act of vandalism in their station — the second incident in less than a month.

Vandals threw rocks and chairs at the Davis police department Saturday morning, shattering the windows and “causing considerable damage,” spokesman Lt. Art Camacho said.

This is the second time the Davis police station has been vandalized. On May 29, an unknown suspect spray-painted the station with messages protesting the police.

The red graffiti in May was painted on the same windows that were smashed around 7:30 a.m., Camacho said.
