1.San Joaquin Asparagus Festival
The San Joaquin Asparagus Festival returns to the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds in Stockton on Friday and Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. From fried asparagus to asparagus ice cream and many other dishes, to carnival rides and a hole-in-one golf chipping contest and monster truck rides, there are a lot of activities planned. 2.Dixon May Fair
The Dixon May Fair is back for the first time in two years at 655 South First Street. The Fair hours are noon to 11 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday. A bull and bronc riding event, tractor pull competition and demolition derby are sold out but there are still more than 20 rides at a carnival to choose among. Learn more here.

The California State Railroad Museum has an event taking place Saturday that honors Chinese railroad workers.
