A Sacramento homeowner shot and killed a man who may have been trying to burglarize a home Sunday evening, police said.
警方称，周日晚上，萨克拉门托的一名房主开枪打死了一名试图入室盗窃的男子。
Officers went to the 5500 block of 27th Avenue around 9 p.m. after a shooting was reported. There they found a man who had been shot at least once lying in the street, according to a Monday release from the Sacramento Police Department.

The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Sacramento County Coroner's Office will release his identity after his next of kin have been notified.

"Based on preliminary information the deceased male may have been involved in an attempted burglary of a residence in the area and was then shot by the homeowner," police said in the release.

Detectives will be canvassing the neighborhood for additional information and evidence, police said.
