The Consulate General of Mexico in Sacramento will soon become a COVID-19 vaccination site, according to city officials.
据萨克拉门托官员表示，墨西哥驻萨克拉门托总领事馆将很快成为COVID-19疫苗接种地。
The vaccination site at the consulate will open Monday for people over 65 years of age, K-12 teachers and child care workers.
领事馆的疫苗接种点将于周一开放，面向65岁以上的人群、K-12教师和儿童保育工作者。
"Child care workers play a key role in our local economy. In order to reopen our economy, we must ensure that child care workers are vaccinated to allow many parents to return to work," said Council member Eric Guerra in a statement.
“托儿工作者在我们当地的经济中发挥着关键作用。为了重新开放我们的经济，我们必须确保儿童保育工作者接种疫苗，让许多父母重返工作岗位，”委员会成员埃里克·格拉在一份声明中说。
"A large number of workers in the childcare industry are Latinos and people of color of which this demographic has been impacted disproportionally by the pandemic," he said.

City officials say the consular jurisdiction spans 24 counties, so the vaccine will be administered to those eligible regardless of which county they live in.

Residents will also be able to receive the vaccine regardless of immigration status or availability of health insurance.
