(KCRA3)About 50 people gathered in Cesar Chavez Plaza in Sacramento for a solidarity rally for Jacob Blake and then began marching through downtown on Tuesday night.

Blake was shot and severely injured by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Sunday. Blake's father told the Chicago Sun-Times that he was told his son was shot eight times during the Sunday evening confrontation with police, which was captured on cellphone video and led to two nights of unrest in the city between Milwaukee and Chicago.

The officers in Blake’s shooting were placed on administrative leave. The Wisconsin Justice Department is investigating the shooting.

The rally in Sacramento, which began around 6 p.m., called for justice in Blake’s shooting and to stand up against police terror. Attendees are required to wear masks.
