157年老店，旧金山的Cliff House餐厅关业！
The owners of San Francisco’s iconic oceanfront Cliff House restaurant, which sits on National Park land and is part of the Sutro Historic District, have decided to suspend takeout services until they can reopen their indoor dining room.
旧金山标志性的海滨悬崖屋餐厅(oceanfront Cliff House)位于国家公园，是苏特罗历史区(Sutro Historic District)的一部分。该餐厅的所有者决定暂停外卖服务，直到他们重新开放室内餐厅。
It wasn’t an easy decision, according to the July 20 Facebook post written by the Hountalas family, led by Dan and Mary Hountalas:

“Our commitment to our guests, our staff, and to San Francisco has never been stronger. It is due to this very commitment that we have decided to suspend our takeout service at both the Cliff House and the Lookout Cafe effective this Monday, July 20, 2020,” they said. “Because of economic pressure during this unprecedented situation we have concluded that it would be best to preserve our remaining resources to ensure a continuance of future operations. This was not an easy decision to make especially considering the support we have received from all of you.”
“我们对客人、员工和旧金山的承诺从未像现在这样坚定。正是因为这个承诺，我们决定暂停崖屋和瞭望咖啡馆的外卖服务，2020年7月20日星期一生效。”他说:“由于在这种前所未有的形势下所面临的经济压力，我们得出结论，最好是保留我们剩下的资源，以确保我们未来的行动能够继续下去。这不是一个容易的决定，尤其是考虑到我们得到了你们所有人的支持。”
The temporary closure of the Cliff House, which has been open for 157 years and relies heavily on tourism, comes one week after the permanent closure of Louis’ Restaurant, which has been a breakfast destination at Lands End for 83 years and is owned by relatives of the Hountalas family.

The Hountalases told SFist that they expect to reopen at a later date, with the good news that the the sheer size of their building means we they will be able to provide ample distancing between tables when indoor dining resumes at restaurants. The City of San Francisco has yet to announce a date for that.
