(KCRA3)Free COVID-19 tests will once again be offered at testing sites across Sacramento County starting Monday.

The sites, operated by the county and UC Davis, were closed due to a shortage of testing supplies.

A new partnership with Folsom-based StemExpress has allowed the county to reopen the testing sites with the initial goal of providing 500 free tests per week. The goal is to offer as many as 1,500 tests once the system is up and running.
